Team Members
Anne Schneyder - Director
Anne is a director of NPA. She has over 30 years experience in a variety of clinical settings in South Australia. Anne has been involved in the private sector for most of her professional life, conducting a successful private practice and consultancy service. Anne, together with Julie Dundon established Nutrition Professionals Australia in 2001, and the business has now grown to be one of the largest providers of nutrition and dietetic services in Australia.
Anne has been actively involved in the Dietitians Association of Australia since graduating as a dietitian. Anne prides herself in the quality of her service delivery and in ensuring that her approach is professional and evidence based. She has particular skills in problem solving and tailoring solutions to difficult nutrition problems.
Anne completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Adelaide in 1978 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Nutrition & Dietetics at Flinders University in 1978. She has attended numerous professional and clinical conferences within SA and interstate to ensure that the business is able to offer best practice advice in all areas of dietetics. Anne has been awarded Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian status by the Dietitians Association of Australia. Anne and Julie were the first two dietitians to be awarded this honour in South Australia. |
Julie Dundon - Director
Julie is a director of NPA. She has been employed and self-employed in the health care industry for more than 25 years. She is committed to quality care that is appropriate to the individual and organisations. Julie has taken a leadership role for more than 15 years in the state branch of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA), and currently at a national level as a Board member and President of DAA.
Julie has a wide range of dietetic experience including clinical, community, food service, aged care and small business. She has extensive experience in the private sector providing a consulting service to organisations, health care organisations and individuals. Julie prides herself with a reputation for her professionalism, enthusiasm and energy in the care of her patients.
Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Adelaide University in 1980 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics at Flinders University in 1981. She attends numerous professional and clinical conferences within SA and interstate. Julie has been awarded Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian status by the Dietitians Association of Australia. Tania Ferraretto
Tania is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 10 years experience in nutrition and dietetics. She has a Bachelor of Science from Adelaide University and a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Flinders University of South Australia. She has worked in community health, clinical dietetics, private practice, for the food industry and in marketing and public relations.
Tania is a Media Spokesperson for the Dietitians Association of Australia, a role that has seen her work with media Australia wide including ABC Education TV, Today Tonight, Network 10 news, ABC radio, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, The Herald Sun, The Advertiser, Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Good Medicine and House & Garden.
Tania has a special interest in Eating Disorders and eating behaviour and primarily works with people needing support in this area. Tania also works on a range of marketing and public relations projects including work with the media. Tania undertakes regular professional development, attending local and national conferences as well as other activities that support her areas of interest. |
Claire Wirth
Claire is a Dietitian Manager at NPA. Her primary interests are in working with individuals and families who have been affected by cancer. She is an Associate member of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia. She also works with a number of Aged Care facilities and advocates strongly for the provision of adequate and suitable food for all residents. She has been involved in the introduction of nutrition screening tools into a variety of settings. She enjoys the variety of work available at NPA, which has allowed her to develop a broad range of skills including working in the hospital setting, residential care facilities and providing education sessions for groups. Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Adelaide University in 1998 and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University in 2001. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and maintains this qualification by taking part in the annual DAA professional development program. Claire aims to work with clients to apply Evidence Based Best Practice in a practical manner. |
Lucy Hancock
Lucy is a Dietitian Manager. She has been employed in the health care industry since 2003. She has experience in a variety of settings including clinical, aged care and health promotion. Lucy completed her Honours Bachelor of Health Science in 1999 and her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2002. Lucy’s particular interests lie in food service, aged care and sports nutrition.
In 2008 Lucy successfully completed the Sports Nutrition Course for Dietitans with Sports Nutrition Australia. She maintains her Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD status) by taking part in the annual Dietitians Association of Australia professional development program and attending various professional development activities. She is also a member of Sports Dietitians Australia. Lucy prides herself on her attention to detail and outcomes based approach. |
Justine Hawke
Justine is a New Zealand Registered, Australian Accredited Practising Dietitian. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics at ‘The University of Otago’. She graduated with a distinction in Dietetics in 2001.
Justine has worked in a variety of public and private dietetic settings, including her role at Wellington Hospital, where she was the diabetes specialist dietitian. Justine has significant experience in one on one counselling and enjoys the challenge of communicating scientific principles into practical advice. Justine has a strong interest in behaviour change and motivation empowering individuals to achieve optimal health outcomes. Justine has further skills and training in food service management.

Samantha White
Samantha graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University in 2008. Samantha has a strong interest in nutritional health promotion and group education.
While Samantha’s primary area of work is in group education (for Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre and Diabetes South Australia) and Nursing Home menu reviews, she is also involved in one on one counselling and work in hospitals.
Samantha is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and maintains this qualification by taking part in the annual DAA professional development program.

Natalie Von Bertouch
Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University in 2009. The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) has granted Natalie Provisional Accredited Practising Dietitian status as she continues her professional development through the Accredited Practising Dietitian program.
Natalie has a strong interest in nutrition in aged care and prevention of chronic disease. Natalie enjoys working with, and supporting individuals to achieve their weight management goals. Due to her passion for sport, Natalie would like to develop her skills in sports nutrition.
Natalie consults to individuals in our Melbourne Street rooms and also works with aged care facilities and the food industry to help improve the nutrition of their residents and customers.
