Award for Excellence in Nutrition Care
Nutrition Professionals Australia have great pleasure in announcing our new Award for Excellence in Nutrition Care in honour of the late Gwen Kelsey. Gwen was a Dietary Aide based in the hospital setting and devoted her working life to helping individuals to improve their nutrition. She always found innovative ways to present foods so that people enjoyed their meal and ate more.

The Award for Excellence in Nutrition Care is intended for individuals who are currently working with older people either at home or in an aged care facility. The successful person may be a cook, chef, catering manager, carer, nurse or manager.

Nutrition and Special Diets Workshops for Aged Care 2010
Nutrition Professionals Australia is proud to present an updated and all new series of workshops on nutrition and special diets designed for care staff and food service staff working in aged care. This year we will offer our Adelaide workshops at regular times spread throughout the year. Each half day workshop is a stand alone event and participants can attend any or all of them. We will also conduct our more traditional two day seminars in three regional areas during the year.

These practical workshops are designed for nursing, care and food service staff working in aged care. They will cover the key points that a facility needs to know about nutrition and special diets and will assist your facility to achieve best practice in nutrition and special diets and to meet accreditation requirements.
